This 1,900 SF interior renovation was a complete structural redesign of an existing townhouse in Philadelphia. Designed and built for a young couple, and led by our team in a fully integrated design-build role, we served as design architect, interior designer, and general contractor through our sister company Built Work. A highly customized, high-detail home that reflects the couple’s lifestyle was the result.
The project’s distinct visual clarity was driven by one of the owners, who is colorblind and appreciates elements with high contrast. This collaboration allowed our team to experiment with new colors, textures, and materials throughout this home.
Completed in 2024, the project balances these bold contrasts with a refined materiality. Custom elements are layered throughout, from a curved stone fireplace with bespoke blackened steel detailing to a guardrail composed of reeded glass and a custom steel frame. The home is a deeply personal space—tailored, tactile, and quietly dramatic.
